Founder

The institute was established in the year 1994 with full extensive support of Late Shri Kaushal Kumar Ji, I.A.S., Late Sh. Kuldeep Singh Gujral and Late Sh.R.D.Singhal. Our past chief patron Late Shri Kaushal Kumar held various important post in the government sector and was retired from his services from Central Administrative Tribunal. Our founder Chairman Late Sh. Kuldeep Singh Gujral was an active politician and held various important posts in Delhi Municipal Corporation for more than two decades. Our founder President Late Sh. R.D.Singhal was a visionary, who gave a vision for such an institution in the rural area for providing education and medical care.
A path shown by our Founder Chief Patron Late Shri Kaushal Kumar Ji left who left for heavenly abode in 2013,All along the years of journey treaded by him with IPMT, we’ve had the privileges of guidance and wisdoms of late Shri Kaushal Kumar-Ji; we have learnt/blessed with the distinctive values of his simplicity, ideologies, friendship, kindness and thoughtfulness. We at IPMT will certainly always miss him and also the happy times shared with him. The memories of late Shri Kaushal Kumar- Ji are / will remain deep within our hearts.
We not only wish but also continuously endeavour that the path & principles laid down by him especially for IPMT will be continuously followed by us providing IPMT with the spirit of workmanship and dedication towards the enhancement/accentuation of Para medical education and providing medical help to the needy & poor.

The Beginning

The institute was established in the year 1994, in an remote rural area of Delhi to provide the medical assistance for the health of the general public, which was lacking behind in the area, especially in the field of eye & dental care through free Medical check- ups, operating Cataracts, Intra-Ocular Lens Implantation by latest technique Phaco- emulsification and Small Incision Cataract Surgery, Pterigium surgery with sub conjunctival graft, Squint Surgeries including most of the eye surgeries etc. The institute is dedicated to uplift the rural persons in the society by providing them the education above school level and creating general awareness towards health specially for the increasing drug addicts in the society creating several unhealthy atmosphere in the society.
We are working with the government in achieving goals for health through its various health programmes like “Pulse Polio Immunization Programme”. During each drive more than 3500 childrens are given polio drops.
Presently, the institute is having approximately 600 students in various courses at Diploma, Degree and Post-Graduation level. In a year, we are screening about 11000 patients in our Eye OPD, about 4000 patients in our Medical OPD, about 3000 patients in our Dental OPD, about 1500 patients in Homeopathy OPD and performing more than 300 cataract surgeries in a year. Our commitment is always try to provide latest and affordable treatment to the patients.
We are dedicated to uplift the rural persons in the society by providing them education above school and below school level and to create general awareness towards health specially that in an old age.

Developments

In 2006, Shri Brahm Singh Tanwar, Ex-MLA inaugurated new Out Patient Door Block and added Auto- Perimeter to the present Ophthalmic department in presence of our valued donors Mrs. Nirmal Mittal and Mr.C.D.Mittal (M/S Nirmal Manufacturing and Marketing Company). Mrs.& Mr.Mittal always came forward to donate generously for a good cause to help the poor from time to time.They helped in establishing Dental Department and furnishing of the teaching blocks. The institute has renovated and upgraded its Dental Clinic, Pathology Laboratory and Operation theatre. As an ongoing demand in the area, we had started & inaugurated the department of Radio-diagnosis on 15th August 2014 with installation of Ultrasound Machine (GE-latest model) along with Digital X-Ray Unit (CR System-Agfa 12X). The department is being run under Dr.Sanjeev Kumar Singhal, Consultant Radiologist, MBBS, PGDUS, DMRD (Gold Medalist) (Ex-Senior Resident- Medical College, Lucknow). Apart from the above many of our valued donors contributed towards installation of YAG laser, Phaco-Emulsification and Auto-Perimetry in Ophthalmic department. Other regular valued donors includes Mrs. Rita Minocha, Shri Keshwanand Ji, Shri Anil Dutt Tiwari (M/S G.D. Tiwari and Co.), Shri K.L.Khater, Shri Amit Jain, Shri B.B.Gupta and Shri Ajay Gupta. We are always thankful to all of them for their continuous support. The governing body of the Institute comprises of eminent personalities from diversified fields which regularly guides the management committee for its proper and smooth functioning. We are committed to accord quality education in the para medical field and are known for it. We are working as a team of dedicated workers to provide best education at affordable fees for every sector of the society.

Status

The institute is an ISO 9001 : 2008 certified for quality education. It is an registered society registered under societies registration Act XXI of 1860 and registered as an charitable institution U/S 12A and exempted under section 80G of Income Tax Act. It is an Admission Guidance centre for various degree programmes in Allied Health Sciences of Vinayaka Mission University-Salem, Singhania University-Jhunjhunu (Rajasthan) and NIMS University-Jaipur.

Mission

– To work for a social cause to improve living standards and healthy living specially to create awareness among the people about the ill effects of drug and alcohol addicts for themselves, family and society at large.
– To identify drug and alcohol addicts and provide necessary aid to de-addict them. To setup de-addiction centre for their help and work for their Rehabilitation.
– To provide community based services to the general public and to take community participation and public co-operation for the same.
– To provide compassionate and High quality Eye Care, Medical Facalities in Pathological Laboratory Services, Dental and Radiodiagnosis field at an affordable cost to all sectors of the society; Rural and Urban.
– To raise education standards in the para medical and related fields.
– To organize and conduct short and long term training courses and programs in para-medical and related fields.

Subsidized lens & Frame making.

Subsidized dental surgeries, RCT, Scaling, Light cure Fillings and dental extractions treatment.

Subsidized Cataract surgeries, Exercises on Synoptophore, Biometry, Keratometry, tonometry and B-Scan.

Free & Subsidized
IOL Implantation , YAG Laser facalities, Phaco-emulsification, Perimetry including various other eye surgeries.

Homeopathic Clinic- including Free medication to the patient.

To provide financial relief to poor and needy students which is the integral part of the main objective of the Institute. The same can be judged by various announcements made from time to time, laid down provisions in their respect such as fee concessions/exemptions or concessions in Hostel Charges, etc.

Recognition

*The Institute is recognized by State Govt . of Nagaland, vide their letter No. MED/MISC – 4 / 95 dated 31/10/1995 and was renewed vide notification No. HFW/19/B/MISC/2012 dated 13th May 2015. The diploma holders are eligible for registration of their names in Employment Exchanges according to the answer to USQ. No. 3675 dated 22/12/98, in Lok Sabha by Minister of Labour, Government of India for the purpose of employment in various Government / Non-Governmental organizations. Since 2005 Two candidates are taught free in all the courses forwarded through Directorate of Health and Family Welfare/Directorate of Medical Services, Government of Nagaland, Kohima. No Tuition Fees is being charged from the students/government. But, they had to pay the Hostel and Mess Charges of the institute according to present charges (Optional). (For FREE seat forwarding / recommendation letter will be required in original from the above said department at the time of admission duly forwarded through the Directorate of Health Services, Govt. of Nagaland, Kohima).

#The Institute was recognized by State Government of Jammu & Kashmir, vide Govt. order No. 233 H&ME of 2003 dated 20/03/2003 and Govt. order No. 531-HME of 2007 dated 08/08/2007. As per undertaking Five candidates will be taught free in all the courses forwarded through Department of Health & Medical Education, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, Jammu/Srinagar. No Tuition Fees will be charged from them. But, they have to pay the Hostel and Mess Charges of the institute. (For FREE seat forwarding / recommendation letter will be required in original from the above said department at the time of admission).

The sanction was accorded to the grant of extension in terms of provisional NOC by Jammu & Kashmir State Para Medical Council, Jammu in favor of the institute vide their Order No. 130 of JSMC 2016 dated : 18/01/2016 in continuation to Govt. order No. 531-HME of 2007 dated 08/08/2007.

Diploma in Dental Assistant is not recognized by Dental Council of India in any manner nor its registration is carried out at the aforesaid council. This course is for the assistance of the doctors only.The diploma in Assistant Nursing & Midwifery and Diploma in Multipurpose Heath Worker are not recognized by their respective councils (Nursing Council of India) in any manner nor its registration is carried out at the aforesaid councils. Please note this carefully before seeking admission in any of the courses.
